The orientation of the Central Court was north-south with a clear view of the sacred Mount Iuktas where an important sanctuary was located. The new south entrance to the Central Court is also the Minoan one forming the end of the Corridor of the Procession where the reconstructed fresco of the "Priest King" is now positioned.
