North West Portico
The North West Portico is a two-columned area which also acted as a fore-hall for the North West Lustral Basin. Its finely dressed east wall is shared with the bastions of the North Entrance Passage. This area appears to be a special addition to the Palace, the earliest element being the lustral basin itself in the first phase of the New Palace period (Middle Minoan IIIA). |
