The Friends of the BSA were founded by Dr. Hector Catling, now Honorary Secretary of the UK Friends, in 1988 as part of the celebration of the School's Centenary. The Friends provide much-needed support for the School in many ways. They host events to involve the wider public in the work of the School through lectures, excursions, visits to museums and other activities. Their constant fund raising efforts have helped the School to build and equip several sections of the Library. For an annual subscription you will be invited to a range of events and lectures especially organized for the Friends

To join the Friends and take part in supporting the BSA, please fill in an application form and send it either to the Secretary of the Friends in Athens: Maria Nikolaides, Souedias 52, 10676 Athens (Tel: 210 7229293 - 6975884090; e-mail: friends@bsa.ac.uk), or to the Secretary of the UK Friends: Marie-Christine Keith (Tel: 0207 2338581: e-mail: bob.barber@btinternet.com).
