British Philhellenism: The Conference
In 15-17 March 2023, the British School at Athens (BSA) and the National Library of Greece (NLG), with the generous support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), organised the international conference Philhellenism and the Greek Revolution of 1821: towards a Global History. Hosted at the beautiful premises of the NLG in the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center in Athens, the conference brought together 36 speakers from 27 institutions (plus two independent researchers), 11 countries and 3 continents. The conference had an extensive participation (approximately 210 registered attendees, on-line and in-person) and a notable media coverage. We thank all participants and attendees for making the conference such a stimulating experience.
