Call for Applications: Athens Archaeology Festival 2026
Applications are now open for participation in the Athens Archaeology Festival 2026, inviting individuals, organisations, and creative practitioners to contribute to this year’s programme of public activities.
The festival seeks proposals for engaging, interactive workshops and experiences that communicate archaeology to wider audiences. Activities should be accessible, hands-on, and designed to inspire curiosity about the past while highlighting the relevance of archaeological research today.
Applicants are asked to submit a clear proposal outlining the concept, format, and intended audience of their activity, along with any practical requirements. Submissions will be reviewed based on their creativity, feasibility, and potential for public engagement by a committee of public engagement experts.
The Athens Archaeology Festival provides a platform for collaboration between researchers, educators, cultural organisations, and the public, with a particular emphasis on inclusive and participatory approaches to heritage.
The deadline for applications is 12 May 2026.
