EARTH WATER FIRE 2026
The Thrapsano Cultural Association, the Centre for the Study of Modern Ceramics and the British School at Athens are organizing in collaboration with the Region of Crete and PLOYGOS under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Minoa Pediada, the four-day cultural festival EARTH WATER FIRE. Celebrating Cretan Pottery from Antiquity to the Present. Thrapsano 2nd – 5th July: an event that promotes the importance of preserving the cultural art of Crete, a precious living heritage with a rich past and a wealth of future prospects. Four days full of lectures, ceramic workshops, kids’ activities, presentations, tours of the sites and museums, music and many more cultural activities.
Participants include: The Potters of Thrapsano; established ceramicists from Greece, Italy, Cyprus and the US; Greek and International scientists and artists; potters’ guilds and industry bodies.
